Seeing the looks of pure joy on his childrens' faces as they shredded the Christmas themed wrapping paper to get to their presents made every thing he and his wife had gone through (the long lines, the crazy shoppers, the fans, the traffic, the late nights he spent assembling while his wife wrapped) worth it.

Bah Humbug!

Whoever's “bright” idea it had been for them to rent a house in Aspen for the week of Christmas needed to be shot in Zac’s opinion. It might have been fine if they had been spread out in a few houses, but twenty people in a six bedroom, five bathroom house was too much. Every where you turned there was somebody. The only alone time you had was in the bathroom and that was limited because someone always had to go right now. He loved his family, but in these super close quarters he was ready to disown them all; especially those who called him Scrooge. To them he said: bah humbug!

Favorite Time of Year

Christmas was Isaac’s favorite time of year; always had been.  He loved the sights, the smells, the feeling, the music, everything.  Every year around August he started to feel that Christmas itch and it only got stronger as the days ticked by.  He spent the time searching for the perfect gifts for his family and friends, but didn’t buy anything until the second week of November.  Then, every year, on the day after Thanksgiving, his Christmas season truly began: he changed everything (radio station, iPod, ringtone, etc) to play Christmas music, he wrapped presents, he decked the halls while singing Deck the Halls.  He made Christmas an experience rather than an event.  And on the Christmas night when the clock struck 11:59 PM, he said goodbye to another great Christmas and started dreaming about the next.
